Little or no information was left intact as most online and written accounts of the creature were mysteriously destroyed.
[00:03:01] Primarily focused in rural New York state and once found in Idaho, self-proclaimed witnesses I've been in contact with a member of this group and was able to get some excerpts from their upcoming book. A suicide note, 1964.
[00:04:20] As I prepare to take my life, I feel it necessary to assuage any guiltenny, I have prayed for you. He spoke your name. A journal entry, translated from Spanish, 1880.
[00:05:41] I have experienced the greatest terror.
[00:05:45] I have experienced the greatest terror. at the request of the rake. From a witness, 2006. Three years ago, I had just returned from a trip from Niagara Falls with my family for
[00:07:00] the Fourth of July.
[00:07:03] We were all very exhausted after a long day of driving, so my husband and I put the kids away from us, there was what appeared to be a naked man, or a large hairless dog of some sort. Its body position was disturbing and unnatural as if it had been hit by stop him before he hurt my children. When I got to the hallway, the light from the bedroom was enough to see it crouching and hunched over about 20 feet away. He turned around and looked directly at me, covered in blood.
[00:10:44] The local newspaper took a lot of interest as well. However, the story was never published, and the local television news never followed up,
[00:10:51] either.
[00:10:54] For several months, my son Justin and I stayed in a hotel near my parents house.
[00:11:02] After we decided to return home, I began looking for answers myself. claimed nothing of the encounter, saying only that they were told to leave by the rake. That was the last entry in the log. There were however many instances where the creature's visit was one and a series of visits with the same person.
[00:12:22] Multiple people also mentioned being spoken to, my daughter included. What I found was a shrill voice. It was the rake. I can't we just read was the classic anonymous tale, The Rake. strange humanoid creature in their room. Now a lot of times it doesn't get as horrible and violent as the rake is reported to be, but sometimes bad things It really only either threatens or straight-up murders, apparently. So, you know, that maybe could have been interesting to Because that too itself, it's just trying to amuse itself, but its form of amusement is absolutely horrific to us. And therefore we have no option but call it how we see it, which is a violent monstrosity.
[00:19:02] Huh.
[00:19:04] I wish there were more stories about the rake. I found it genuinely creepy, genuinely interesting. And just the way it was set up with a little introduction, a few historical examples, and then a longer story that really goes into the meat and potatoes of it. That was just really great.
[00:20:20] It was just really great.
[00:20:21] Really liked it.
[00:20:22] What do you think of this story?
[00:20:24] Do you like the rake?
[00:20:26] Do you not like the rake?
