Additional background music is my original composition.

[00:00:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you remember Microsoft 3D Movie Maker? A free demo of it came with Windows 95.

[00:00:14] [SPEAKER_00]: If you really liked it, you can buy the full version on CD-ROM.

[00:00:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Basically, you could make your own 3D movies using preset actors, props and scenes.

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: You could even add your own dialogue and sound effects using the computer's mic.

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_00]: It was such a hit that it developed its own called Fanbase.

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: A little known fact is that if you go to the intro page of the talent book and type in

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Socrates, you'll find a live action feature at on the making of 3D Movie Maker,

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_00]: originally known as Project Socrates to the developers.

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_00]: It's a pretty fun watch and I highly recommend it.

[00:01:02] [SPEAKER_00]: What I do not recommend, however, is Project Caligula, very begrudgingly going to explain the process by which you can access Project Caligula.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_00]: To start, you must make a movie choosing Misty City as the scene and the small cafe as the camera angle.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_00]: As a prop, select the sphere, color it red, Latin it all the way, and put it under the leftmost table.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: As actors, select Scally and Augustin.

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Change Augustin's outfit to the Tuxedo and put him in front of the cafe door between the tables.

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Place Scally or Resontally at his feet.

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_00]: You can do this using the adjustment tools in the part of the toolbar that is initially covered up.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Next, change the music to Geist Evil theme.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Select the sound effect, laugh, maniac and place it on Augustin.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Finally, make his action at rest and have him stay like that for exactly 17 frames.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Conclude by clicking new movie.

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_00]: A prompt will ask you if you want to save your movie.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Do so and save it as Caligula, all lower case, no quote.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_00]: When the screen comes up, go to Open Movie and select Caligula.

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Unlike other movies whose preview picks are the first frame of the film,

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: the screenshot will be a 3D graphic of the phrase, Welcome to Hell.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_00]: In the font bloody, which is not available in the original edition of the game, in front of a black background.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_00]: When you open the movie, instead of the preview pick, you will see a solid red background.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Again, this is the first of many things you'll see that are not presets of the game.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: Clicking play will play 21 frames of the screen within, off key version of La Cromosa by Mozart,

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: laying on piano in the background.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_00]: The screen will then spiral wipe to the actor Bongo in front of the black background for 13 frames.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Then, his skin appears to melt off, quite graphically, followed by subsequent layers of muscle tissue and even organs.

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Until it reaches the skeleton.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: This skeleton, unlike the default Scally looks, eerily.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, like it belongs to Bongo.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: The shape, lines and even proportions are fitted to Bongo's unique build.

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_00]: The music, and gradually fades, replaced with a crescendo of tortured screams.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_00]: The skeleton then opens its mouth and says one of the preset lines.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Those bullies won't bother me now.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_00]: While this is my line attributed to Bongo, the line is distorted to sound deep and very demonic.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00]: The final thing you see is a text in front of one of the basic backgrounds from the Nickelodeon edition of 3D Movie Maker.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: The front is hard to read, not only because the color almost completely blends in with the background,

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_00]: but also because it's in a strange font.

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_00]: When translated, it reads, let all those who see this film beware, or whom so ever seeks to make it their own.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_00]: She'll suffer a fate worse than death.

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Ert?

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_00]: About a member of the 3D Movie Maker community who did try to modify the movie?

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: So, I found out where he lived to ask him about it.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_00]: When I got there, the lawn looked like it hadn't been mowed for days, and there was several days worth of mail, and papers present.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I knocked on the door, but no one answered.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I looked in a nearby window and saw that most of the house was covered in blood, urine, species, and various hem trails.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I opened the door, only to have the severed torso of the person I was seeking fall towards me.

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_00]: His skin was gone as were his lakes and hips.

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_00]: He was covered in blood, and I thought he was dead until he grabbed my ankle and gasped.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Why won't he let me die?

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I asked Edgar, I called 911 immediately.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_00]: The doctors made a startling discovery when they examined him.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00]: A piece of his brain was missing.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_00]: According to some psychologists, this part of the brain alerts the body when it dies

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_00]: as to the identity of Edgar.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_00]: According to my research, he was a parently a programmer or Microsoft working on project Socrates.

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_00]: He was fired from making horrifically graphic movies and later committed suicide.

[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_00]: His suicide note read, you'll regret this as for the process.

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_00]: I managed to find it in my research.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Apparently, files on certain Microsoft computers would be labeled as, quote, access.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_00]: These are the steps too.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, access the movie.

[00:08:23] [SPEAKER_00]: News reports I found report day spike in disappearances, the exact time of the release of the full version of Microsoft 3D movie maker.

[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_00]: The computers for all of these victims were all found to have the access file on them and listed as a red as I

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Enished up my research.

[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I received an email with the sender listed as Edgar, a file attached access.
