[00:00:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I met my girlfriend, let's call her Diana, when I was living in a bustling city. She worked at the same office as I did.
[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_00]: We had no need to other for like a year or two when we started dating.
[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_00]: She would tell me stories about her hometown and the paranormal activities that occurred there.
[00:00:23] [SPEAKER_00]: She was one of those people who are deeply interested in the paranormal.
[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not believe her stories because I didn't believe in paranormal stuff.
[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_00]: She would always look so full of life whenever she talked about paranormal activities or stories she had heard from other people.
[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_00]: After a few months, until we started dating, she got a job at her hometown and moved there.
[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to go there with her, but there were no job openings there, not for the first few months, at least.
[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I applied for a few jobs in her town, and finally was able to land one.
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I could not wait to see her again because I hadn't seen her for months.
[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I remember how Diana and her family welcomed me with open arms when I first entered the town.
[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_00]: They fed me delicious food at her home and I formed bonds with her family.
[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_00]: In addition to her parents, she had a little sister who was the world to her.
[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Her sister was called Lily. She was a shy, quiet little girl who barely spoke to anyone.
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Diana had told me how often Lily got sick and how no doctors knew what was wrong with her.
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Diana would tell me how she and her family thinks that something else was causing Lily to get sick so often.
[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_00]: On that day, when her family welcomed me, her dad Daniel took me into his room.
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_00]: I wondered what he was trying to do.
[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Son, I heard that you're gonna live in this town.
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel said, his gaze fixed on me.
[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I nodded and response to his question.
[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Then there are rules that you must follow.
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel cleared his throat.
[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Do not fish at the pier past 12 a.m. in the night.
[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Do not go into the woods past 9 p.m.
[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_00]: And finally, do not go anywhere near the beach to the south at sunset.
[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_00]: This final rule is when you must never break under any circumstances.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I nodded even though I did not believe him.
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I believe that everything must have a scientific explanation.
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: In paranormal stuff is made up by people as a way to pass time or for entertainment.
[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_00]: After that, I went back to dying with the rest of the family.
[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_00]: The rest of the day went normal.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously I couldn't stay at Diana's house so I ended up renting a place close by to her place.
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_00]: We would go on dates occasionally as I got used to her town.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Even though I did not believe what her father Daniel had said,
[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I avoided breaking the rules he mentioned out of respect for him.
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_00]: One day, when we were on a date at a local cafe,
[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I brought up what her dad talked about with me.
[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_00]: His list of rules.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she said.
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_00]: As long as you are not there at the time as my dad mentioned, you're safe.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I have to admit the creepiness of those rules were getting to me.
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: At first, I thought that this was all a toy by her dad again made a break up with her,
[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_00]: but seeing as how she herself validated his rules,
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_00]: I was not so sure anymore.
[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_00]: As I grew more accustomed to the town, I would go to this beautiful beach to relax.
[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I would use this swing in the woods that led to the beach.
[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I could get a good view of the beach from there.
[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_00]: There was always this one kind old lady.
[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Let's call her Matilda who would talk to me whenever she saw me there.
[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_00]: She would come there almost every evening to get wood to burn.
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I enjoyed those days.
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_00]: I enjoyed our conversation.
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_00]: She would tell me stories of the past about the time when she was young.
[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And that every day when sunset draws near,
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_00]: she would hurry home after telling me that I should not stick around longer,
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_00]: even though I would have done so without her telling me.
[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And one day when I was chilling on a bench at the beach at evening,
[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_00]: I fell asleep because I had not slept well the previous night.
[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I had a strange nightmare of an old man strangling me when I was on the bench and woke up.
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_00]: No one was there.
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_00]: It was quiet with the sound of waves splashing.
[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It was dark, with the clouds in the sky shaded with red.
[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I looked at the time.
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_00]: It was already sunset.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_00]: All of a sudden I felt a chill around my spine, like I was not alone.
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Like quickly got back into the woods to go back home.
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_00]: As I was walking in the woods, I saw the old lady.
[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_00]: The same one who would always talk to me in the distance.
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_00]: She was standing completely still with her back turned.
[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not notice it until I got close enough to her.
[00:05:52] [SPEAKER_00]: She had no feet, and she was hovering above the ground.
[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_00]: She turned around to look at me.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Her eyes saw kids were empty, and she was grinning from ear to ear.
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_00]: It was not humanly possible.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_00]: The minute that happened, I heard sounds of woman laughing from all directions.
[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_00]: They sounded hysterical.
[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_00]: I covered my ears and turned my eyes away from her.
[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_00]: And then when I looked at where she was before, she was gone.
[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I ran as fast as possible.
[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_00]: The laughing voices were still there echoing from all directions.
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Their volume did not change no matter how far I went.
[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I covered my ears and made my way towards home.
[00:06:53] [SPEAKER_00]: The people on the street shot me weird glances, as though they were staring at someone who went in same.
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_00]: As soon as I entered my house, the laughing voices stopped.
[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_00]: It was as quiet as it had always been.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I went into my room and plucked the courage to look through the window.
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing was out of the ordinary.
[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_00]: I looked at the sunset sky, and wondered if this was going to continue.
[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_00]: At that point, Daniel's warnings replayed in my head.
[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't go anywhere near the south beach at sunset.
[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_00]: I wondered if this was the beach that he had talked about with me before.
[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I was worried about what might come next.
[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_00]: I stopped going to that beach, but the feeling was always there.
[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I felt like something was watching me, no matter where I went.
[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I would feel someone touching my shoulder or pull my clothes lightly,
[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_00]: and no one would be there when I would turn around to look.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not tell Diana, nor anyone about this.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_00]: I believed that it was my burden and my burden alone.
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not see the old woman either for days.
[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Ever since this happened, I used my free time to walk around town.
[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not pay attention at the time, but I would never see the old woman when I walked around town.
[00:08:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Many days passed this way without further incident.
[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_00]: One day, as I was going back home from work, I noticed the old lady standing there in the woods.
[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_00]: She gestured me to come closer, but I was too afraid to go to her.
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_00]: She kept gesturing over and over, but I paid no heed to her.
[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_00]: As I passed by her, I gave her a glance.
[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_00]: She looked normal, like she usually does.
[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I still could not get over how creepy she looked at sunset on the last day.
[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I saw her.
[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Seeing how she looked normal, I told myself that whatever I saw and heard the other day must have been my imagination.
[00:09:34] [SPEAKER_00]: As soon as I went up to her, she smiled.
[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Sunny, she said, it's been a while since we last saw each other.
[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_00]: How have you been doing?
[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_00]: I've been fine, I guess. I answered.
[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Sunny, I have a present for you. Can you come with me? The old lady eagerly asked.
[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_00]: Sure, I guess. I answered with a moment of hesitation.
[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_00]: After gesturing me to follow her, she took me to her house in the town.
[00:10:09] [SPEAKER_00]: It looked beautiful as I would was built yesterday.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_00]: It was filled with light upon entering her house.
[00:10:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I noticed that it was completely empty.
[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_00]: Do you live here alone?
[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I asked, my tone curious.
[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I have a few children but they're all out of town. She answered.
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_00]: She led me into the living room and gestured me to wait.
[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_00]: The house was well lit with a lot of colorful, small light.
[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_00]: It looked as though the house was prepared for a party.
[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Not too long after she brought me a slice of chocolate cake.
[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Take a bite, Sunny, she said, eagerly.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Without wasting any time, I took a bite from the chocolate cake.
[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_00]: But the minute I did that, it tasted like mud.
[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_00]: And I instantly spat it out.
[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_00]: The old lady was still there observing me eagerly.
[00:11:18] [SPEAKER_00]: She started laughing.
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Sunny, take another bite, she said.
[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_00]: It tastes terrible, I said to her.
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_00]: She looked, disappointed, and then she took the cake's slice
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_00]: and went out of the living room.
[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I was puzzled as to why the cake tasted like mud
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_00]: when it was clearly a chocolate cake.
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_00]: But I still had the bad taste of it in my mouth.
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_00]: It was enough to make me feel extremely nauseous.
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_00]: I cannot stay there any longer, so I went out of the house and rushed towards mine.
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I was getting weird looks from people on the street again.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Like I was an insane person.
[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_00]: I could not stop to think about it at the time because I was too nauseous.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_00]: As soon as I got back home, I volmated in my bathroom on the toilet.
[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not look at it and flushed the toilet.
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_00]: My whole body felt weak, is though I had a bad fever.
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I laid down on my bed to rest and fell asleep briefly.
[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I woke up from the phone ringing.
[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_00]: It was Diana calling me.
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_00]: I picked up.
[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Babe, are you okay?
[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Diana sounded worried.
[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm okay.
[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Just feeling a bit nauseous and that's all.
[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm feeling better now.
[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I said without thinking.
[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_00]: That's good.
[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_00]: She said as though she did not believe me.
[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I sensed that there was something odd.
[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_00]: She was unusually silent and did not say anything for a while.
[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Babe, please, please tell me the truth.
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_00]: She said with a serious tone.
[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_00]: What were you doing at the graveyard?
[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_00]: A chill went down my spine.
[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_00]: I was genuinely puzzled at her words.
[00:13:26] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not go to any graveyard.
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_00]: What?
[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't go to the graveyard since I came to this town.
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I said, genuinely confused.
[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Babe, a lot of people saw you at the graveyard eating dirt.
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_00]: She told me.
[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_00]: You left before anyone could intervene.
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Hearing this chilled me to my core.
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Was I losing my mind?
[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Was I actually eating dirt in the graveyard?
[00:14:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Or did people mistake me for someone else?
[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Recalling what happened in the past
[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I came to the conclusion that what my girlfriend was telling was the truth.
[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_00]: We talked a bit more and she genuinely sounded worried.
[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_00]: After that, she hung up the phone.
[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_00]: On the next day, as I finished work, Daniel called me and asked to me to come as soon as possible.
[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_00]: So I went there, I knocked on the front door and Diana opened it.
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_00]: She looked worried.
[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_00]: She gestured me to come in so I went in.
[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_00]: She led me into the living room and had me sit down on the couch.
[00:14:50] [SPEAKER_00]: She sat right next to me and held my hand tight.
[00:14:55] [SPEAKER_00]: A few minutes later, Daniel entered the living room and sat down next to Diana.
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So, he started.
[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I hear that you did some questionable things in the graveyard.
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_00]: There was silence in the air.
[00:15:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I hesitated to talk.
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, Daniel broke the silence.
[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Because this happened, you must have stayed on the south beach at sunset.
[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_00]: He was right.
[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I nodded.
[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_00]: His expression changed to a slightly angry one.
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Suddenly, he said,
[00:15:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I told you clearly, do not stay at the south beach at sunset.
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I explained to him what had happened to me there in full detail.
[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_00]: As well as everything that happened between me and the old lady, I see.
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_00]: You've been seeing this old lady almost every evening, Daniel asked.
[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, I answered.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_00]: What did she say her name was? Daniel asked.
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Matilda, I answered.
[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel's eyes widened.
[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_00]: I looked at Diana.
[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_00]: She had the same reaction.
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_00]: There was silence for a few moments.
[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Some, Daniel replied.
[00:16:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Matilda died years ago.
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_00]: She is my mother and she's Diana's grandmother.
[00:16:40] [SPEAKER_00]: It shocked me to my core.
[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I could not believe it.
[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_00]: This meant that the old lady I was talking to all along with Diana's grandmother?
[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Questions popped up in my head one after the other.
[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Why did the old lady lie about her children being far away?
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_00]: She was a ghost.
[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Was she evil or something?
[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's the shape it took, huh?
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel said as though he was talking to himself.
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_00]: What do you mean?
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_00]: I asked him.
[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_00]: That nasty thing.
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_00]: It's not real.
[00:17:19] [SPEAKER_00]: She is not real.
[00:17:21] [SPEAKER_00]: That is only one shape among many others.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_00]: That nasty thing takes.
[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel said.
[00:17:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Even my daughter, Lily.
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel suddenly stopped.
[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_00]: It's okay that Diana reassured him holding his hand.
[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_00]: My daughter, Lily.
[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel continued.
[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_00]: That thing is tormenting her too.
[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_00]: We only realized it recently.
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_00]: I was shocked.
[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_00]: So the thing that has been causing Lily to get sick all the time was that thing?
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Almost right at that time, Lily came and entered the room.
[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_00]: She looked at me and smiled.
[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Mr. Humpty likes you, Big Brother.
[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Lily said to me,
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Mr. Humpty wants Big Brother to hang out with him.
[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Come.
[00:18:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Before I could answer, Lily was pushed away by an unseen force
[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_00]: and she started struggling against something on the ground.
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_00]: It was as though something invisible was trying to strangle her.
[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Before we could reach her, she stopped.
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_00]: She had passed out.
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Daniel took her in his arms as he cried.
[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_00]: He was whispering something that I couldn't quite make out.
[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_00]: After that, he went out of the room.
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_00]: I could see Diana covering her face with her hands crying.
[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I tried to console her the best I could.
[00:19:07] [SPEAKER_00]: When she finally calmed down, I asked her to tell me everything.
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_00]: She told me what happened.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_00]: They were having a barbecue in the evening near the woods with their neighbors.
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Lily was playing with a few girls her age.
[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_00]: When they took their eyes off Lily, she disappeared into the woods.
[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_00]: They searched for her all over the place.
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Only to find her standing still at the south beach, that sunset.
[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_00]: She had been acting like that ever since that event.
[00:19:45] [SPEAKER_00]: She would get frequently sick and would not be able to get out of the house.
[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_00]: According to Diana, they were a safe distance away from the south beach.
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_00]: She had no idea about how Lily went to the south beach through the woods.
[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_00]: There was no doubt in my head about it.
[00:20:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Lily went through the same thing I did.
[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Diana also told me that people who have been targeted by the entity see it in different forms.
[00:20:18] [SPEAKER_00]: For me, it was in her grandmother's form.
[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Or Lily, it was someone...something else.
[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Diana told me that someone was brutally murdered by some thugs at the south beach at sunset nearly 40 years ago.
[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I knew what she was getting at.
[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_00]: It was his vengeful spirit that was haunting the south beach.
[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, it was a lot for me to take in.
[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_00]: My entire world has changed within a span of a few days.
[00:20:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Above all, I knew that whatever that thing was, it wasn't done with me.
[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_00]: Deep in my heart, I wished that thing would leave me alone.
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_00]: As much as I did not want to believe that it was real, I did.
[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I wondered why others were fine even though they went to the south beach at sunset.
[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Why Lily?
[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_00]: To this day, I'll never know.
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Diana didn't seem to have an answer either.
[00:21:33] [SPEAKER_00]: In the following days, the activity intensified.
[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_00]: I would hear distant laughing talking nearly every time I went outside.
[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Activity started happening everywhere, except my home.
[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_00]: The other day, my coffee mug was pushed by an unseen force,
[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_00]: breaking it to pieces when it hit the floor.
[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Another time, I could see shadow figures moving at humanly impossible, speed.
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_00]: So, I reduced the time I spent outside.
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_00]: My contact with Diana was very limited.
[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_00]: I could not pick up her calls, even though I knew she was worried.
[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_00]: My mind was just too occupied with the activity that was happening to me.
[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_00]: The activity at my workplace worsened, so I stopped going outside, except when I had to work.
[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_00]: The shadow figures I would see in my workplace evolved into unnatural entities.
[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_00]: One particular day, as I was working past the normal hours, without anyone else but me.
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I caught something in the corner of my eye.
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_00]: In a cubicle, in the same row, is mine, was a shadow-like face,
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_00]: with no features except for its gigantic eye.
[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Only half of its face was visible.
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_00]: I jolted.
[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_00]: As if noticing my movement, it put its head back in the cubicle it was in.
[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_00]: It was only there for a moment.
[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_00]: I did not take my eyes off the cubicle, it was in and went up to that cubicle.
[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_00]: To my surprise, the cubicle was empty.
[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I was too scared at that point, so I was about to go home.
[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_00]: As I reached the exit, I saw a creature, the same creature from before with its gigantic eyes.
[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_00]: This time, its face was visible.
[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_00]: It was a distorted face.
[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Its body was like a bodybuilder's.
[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_00]: It had eight legs, that stood on its human-like torso.
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_00]: It looked very much like a spider.
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Upon seeing it, I heard hysterical woman laughing from all directions.
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_00]: At least, that is the thing I remember before fainting on early morning the next day.
[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I woke up in the graveyard without knowing how I went there.
[00:24:37] [SPEAKER_00]: I looked at the visible parts of the street.
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_00]: There was no one around.
[00:24:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Figures, since it was early morning, after all.
[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_00]: I quickly heard towards my house, my body aching with pain.
[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_00]: After reaching my house, I decided to call someone anyone who can help me.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I reached for my phone in my pocket.
[00:25:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Only to realize that it was gone.
[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I was too scared to be outside, so I couldn't afford to go back and search for my phone.
[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_00]: So I went inside my house and took a shower.
[00:25:18] [SPEAKER_00]: The weight that I had felt the whole time was gone as soon as I entered my room.
[00:25:26] [SPEAKER_00]: That was when I noticed the wounds on my body.
[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_00]: There were scratches and bruises everywhere.
[00:25:37] [SPEAKER_00]: What happened to me last night, I wondered?
[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Still, the image of these spider-like creature lingered in my head.
[00:25:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Those gigantic eyes, the distorted face.
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_00]: If possible, I never wanted to see the creature again.
[00:25:59] [SPEAKER_00]: After showering, I lay on the bed thinking,
[00:26:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Not too long after I heard knocks on the door of my room.
[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_00]: I opened the door.
[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_00]: It was Diana.
[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_00]: She looked very worried and sad.
[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_00]: She asked me to tell her everything about what has been happening to me.
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_00]: So I did.
[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_00]: She called her dad and told him the whole story.
[00:26:29] [SPEAKER_00]: She and her dad offered to help me with this situation, and I accepted gratefully.
[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And with the help of some exercise, it is not as intense anymore.
[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Ever since that, I haven't gotten out of my house.
[00:26:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Much.
[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_00]: I am currently taking leave from work.
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Thank God for vacation leave.
[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_00]: I've seen a few exercises, but my condition hasn't improved.
[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Every time I go out of my house, I see that spider-like creature in the shadows looking at me.
[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes it disappears.
[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Other times, it runs towards me with
[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_00]: the end-human levels of speed, and I would faint.
[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Only to wake up with scratches all over my body.
[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and I also figured out that staying in my house keeps it away.
[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_00]: So I am spending more and more time in my house.
[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Diana is helping me with food and errands.
[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Think God, I have such a wonderful girlfriend like her.
[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Too scared to go outside anymore.
[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_00]: At the same time, I am wishing to be rid of this curse.
[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_00]: Ghost, spider or whatever it is.
[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So I will remain in my safe haven until exercises are able to get rid of this entity.
