"Dead Bart" Creepypasta | Forgotten Tales

In tonight's episode we're gonna take a look at the classic internet legend "Dead Bart". This is an oldie, but a goldie. One of the first creepypastas I ever read when I was surfing the web finding "lost episode" stories over a decade ago, I wanted to revisit it and share some of my (quick) thoughts with you all. And if you wanna check out my reading/commentary on the very weird internet legend "Seinfeld Lost Episode", you can find it over at my patreon for my supporters over there. Take care everyone, and have a good night!

[00:00:00] Have you ever wanted to make a podcast but just didn't know where to start?

[00:00:04] Spotify's got a new platform that lets you do just that.

[00:00:07] Distributed everywhere you listen to podcasts and even earn cash all in one place for free.

[00:00:13] It's called Spotify for Podcasters.

[00:00:16] Let me tell you a little about how it works.

[00:00:17] You can record and edit podcasts straight from your computer and even on your phone.

[00:00:22] It doesn't matter if you have a studio set up with expensive microphones or just your interacting with my audience, I highly recommend you give it a try. Download the Spotify for Podcasters app or go to www.spotify.com slash podcasters to get started. Every Simpson fan knows and loves the Treehouse of Horror episodes.

[00:01:40] But did you know that there's a lost episode from season 1. Finding details about this missing episode is difficult. No one who is working on the show at the time likes to talk about it. From what has been pieced together, the Lost who was on the show about this will cause them to do everything they can to stop you from directly communicating with Matt Graining. At a fan event, I managed to follow him after he spoke to the crowd, and eventually had a chance to talk to him alone as he was leaving the building.

[00:04:21] He didn't seem upset that I had followed him, probably expected a typical encounter

[00:04:25] with an obsessive fan. and a file started downloading. Once the file was downloaded, my computer went crazy. It was the worst virus I had ever seen. System restored didn't work. The entire computer had to be rebooted. Before doing this though, I copied the file onto a CD.

[00:05:41] I tried to open it on my now empty computer. 50 feet off the ground, Barn broke a window on the plane and was sucked out. At the beginning of the series, Matt had an idea that the animated style of the Simpsons world represented life and that death turned things more realistic.

[00:07:01] This was used in this episode. flashing in and out so you were never sure what they looked like. This crying went on for all of Act 2. Act 3 opened with a title card saying one year it passed. Homer, Marge, and Lisa were skeletonly thin and still sitting at the table.

[00:09:22] you can't tell what Homer is saying.

[00:09:27] The view zoomed out as the episode came to a close.

[00:09:30] The tombstones in the background had the names of every Simpson's guest star on them.

[00:09:34] Some that no one had heard of in 1989,

[00:09:37] some that haven't been on the show yet.

[00:09:41] All of them had death dates on them.

[00:10:41] Okay. Man, that sure is a classic.

[00:11:03] This also is probably one of the first creepypast's been a long time since I've read it. But um, that was pretty good. I enjoyed that a lot.

[00:12:20] If I'm gonna give it a rating, I'd probably give it 4 out of 5 bones, definitely. Those fake suicide mouse episodes are pretty good. Yeah I really like this one. What did you think of it? Let me know what you thought in the comments below of the story of this episode. And I just recently actually narrated another old creepy pasta for $5 enough patrons on

[00:13:41] my Patreon.

[00:13:43] So if you want to hear me talk about the Seinfeld Lost episode, you can go over there for $5
